NHTSA Introduces Compliance Assistance Program


Rubber & Plastics News --- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has unveiled a new Compliance Assistance Program to help regulated entities—including manufacturers of tires, vehicles, trailers and vehicle equipment—comply with federal safety regulations.

The new compliance assistance program will help NHTSA achieve the highest standards of excellence in regulated industries by providing informal compliance guidance to current and prospective manufacturers, the agency said.

NHTSA's Compliance Assistance Program will offer a new, user-friendly dedicated website that will evolve over time, according to the agency.

Details about the Compliance Assistance Program, including a set of Frequently Asked Questions and their answers, can be found online at nhtsa.gov.
