To ensure IMTA members have the most up-to-date developments in the trucking industry, the IMTA maintains an extensive communications network to its members with information when it’s needed in a variety of formats:

  • InfoFlash: Weekly electronic newsletter that provides updates on state and national legislative issues, regulatory issues and IMTA activities.
  • Special Bulletins: When the IMTA hears something, its members hear it, too. IMTA staff researches the information to ensure its members are getting the most accurate information regarding a special issue.
  • Lifeliner: Quarterly magazine that enables members to learn more about the association and the many positive things that are going on in the industry.
  • Division Newsletters: Monthly division newsletters distributed to each division geared specifically to issues and topics affecting the division.

Each month, the IMTA hosts at least one seminar covering topics that are important today and in the future. Through its partnering efforts with the Iowa Department of Transportation, the IMTA also hosts quarterly compliance seminars that give you all the information you need to be in compliance.

Networking Opportunities
The door for interaction among peers is always open through the IMTA. The association’s annual management conference and exposition, the industry’s premier trucking event, and other IMTA sponsored events throughout the year provide you with opportunities to connect with industry leaders and decision makers!

Professional Development
The IMTA supports activities that enable its members to continue to develop in their profession, particularly within each of the association’s divisions – Iowa Council of Safety Management, Allied Industry Division, Towing and Recovery Professionals of Iowa, Moving and Warehousing Division and Iowa Tire Dealers Division. The IMTA also offers a leadership class each year.
